I knew him at Strathallan where although we were not in the same house, we were in the same class for some subjects. I remember him as a thoroughly decent and nice person, always affable and with a good sense of humour. The last time I spoke to him was at a Strathallian Dinner in Edinburgh some years ago and he was exactly as I remember him from school.
