Thank you Stan for providing for our family so that I was able to mother my own children – our children, be part of their close attachments, witness all their learning and growing confidence in life right from their being tiny through to being the mature, capable and endearing individuals they are now. You helped us to plant a family oak tree in 2013. I would like to recall again now, at your moment of peace, the entry that we put in the commemoration book: ‘With great anticipation we planted our family oak tree, grown from an acorn, on 28 September 2013. It stands as a live symbol of celebration, optimism, past and future sense of family both within and between generations and, above all, constant gratitude for the lives of Karen, Gavin, Ailsa and Neil, our much-loved children.
