I have known Stan for a few years now due to our involvement with the U3A German group. He never failed to make us smile and will be sadly missed by the group. For my part, I shall always be grateful to him for helping us out at the U3A Christmas Carol concert in the Spanish – yes, the Spanish group. We were always quite “thin on the ground” for voices and his was a welcome addition, making it look as if we had more members than we actually had and ensuring that we could be heard!
