Ken Parry 21st March 2020

I had the privilege of knowing your father from the day that we joined the RAF back in 1961. We went through flying training together, and stayed friends ever after. In the leave between our courses at Leeming and Valley (about June 1962) Stan and I went on a walking holiday in SW Scotland; nothing too vigorous for me, but when I tired, Stan would go off and walk up another mountain. We camped in a disused farmhouse for a few days, and were lucky with the Scottish weather - much more sun than rain. In later years, Christine and I joined in several of the ski holidays that Stan arranged.
